The fall after I graduated high school I started college at the University of Georgia, Gooooo Dawgs!!!! I attended for a year and a half. During that time I met my amazing husband Ross. We met while we were both in the Air Force ROTC program. He was 3 years ahead of me, a Christ follower, and a wonderful listener (he still is). He graduated from UGA and shortly after he commissioned into the United States Air Force. We got married and then traveled to Alabama, California, and Wyoming our first year of marriage. Our life together has literally been a trip across the USA.
We lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for 6 years!!! We added 2 fur babies, Lucy and Marley, to our family. We met some amazing people who became family. We also went through some rough times and great times in our marriage and life in general. For us these years were our foundation years. We learned more about each other and are still learning. But I know God used this time to build in me and Ross an unshakable relationship with him and each other.
In Wyoming I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and then taught second grade at the wonderful Albin Elementary. I taught there for 2 years and it was an amazing and challenging experience.
It was also when I felt my relationship with God was the strongest. Which coincided with one of the difficult seasons of our marriage. Through it all I felt God there with me. He kept telling me he is in control. Looking back I am grateful and filled with joy because although it was heartbreaking in the season our marriage is stronger and my relationship with God is too.
After the 6 years in Wyoming we moved to Las Vegas for 6 months, Alabama for about 2ish months, and finally Montana for a few years. Luckily Ross and I love road trips so these were some wonderful quality time adventures for us.
