1 Peter 2:21-25

Scripture

“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”

Observation

The commands in these verses:

Follow the example of Jesus.

Do not retaliate when others insult you.

Do not make threats when you are suffering. Trust God. That he will judge everyone correctly.

Live for righteousness.

Application

In my life right now this looks like letting my actions speak louder than my words. Being silent or for me holding my tongue and not justifying or defending myself in conversation, situation, etc. Trusting that God will be the one who will defend me and by following Jesus example my life will speak the loudest. This is hard y’all.

Prayer

God thank you for the example Jesus provided on how to live in this world. Please guide me through the situations, conversations, and circumstances I am in today. Help me to listen more than I speak and to live righteously. I am still learning and understand this is a life long process. Thank you for being patient with me as I grow in your word and being gracious when I make mistakes. Amen.
