1 Peter 2:6-10

Scripture

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

Observation

From this verse the words praise God stood out to me as a command. Also how amazing that God called us out of the darkness. Like these people Peter wrote to were in darkness. I love how the Bible demonstrates concepts like this. The imagery, the feeling, the senses.

Application

Praise God with how you live your life. Share with others how God brought you out of darkness. How you are being changed daily. How you fail. How you keep realigning yourself to God‘s plans.

Prayer

Thank you God for bringing me out of the darkness. For saving me and loving me unconditionally. Amen.
