1 Peter 4:16-19

“Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.”

“So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”

Observation

Praise God. Obey the gospel. Commit to God. Do good.

Application

In life right now for me this looks like doing good and praising God. Sometimes obeying comes before the wanting to or feeling like it. God is the only one able to change me or others.

Prayer

Dear God, help me to praise you all the time. To see the blessings even if that means having to have time and distance from a situation in order to see a blessing in the past. Thank you for always being committed to me even when I am not always committed to obeying you. Amen.
