After I drop off the kids at school I return home to tackle the never-ending to do list of tasks. Things that have to be done regularly like dishes, groceries, laundry, cleaning the house, etc. On Monday my washer wasn't working correctly. It wouldn't drain and it just happened to be the last load of the night. So I looked up what to do that evening and tackled the problem on Tuesday morning. I was able to do everything except remove the the drain pump to look inside it and see what was clogging it.
Which brings us to Wednesday morning after I dropped off the kids and returned home. Ross usually leaves for work before I drop off the kids. This morning he stayed home a little longer and together we fixed the washer. IT WAS A SOCK. A Lucas sock. Now the washer is working. The test load consisted of towels we used to clean the extra water I couldn't get out of the machine yesterday. Hooray!!
Now I am writing this post and thinking of all the other things that need to be done today. But it made me so happy to fix something and get it working again. To work with my husband to accomplish something productive today. To see the fruit of our labors so to speak.
I don't know about you but when things don't go the way I planned or how I think they should go it's frustrating. Sometimes heartbreaking. Even soul crushingly painful. But I keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other, sometimes crawling, sometimes stopping for a bit to rest, and then I keep going. I like to believe it's because I have people and others depending on me. But the truth is there is a little voice in me saying don't give up, don't stop, keep going I am with you. I'll help you through. I've got you.
I believe this little voice is God. Speaking to me, living in me, giving me grace, to keep moving forward. ❤
What did you do today??
